This study presents the first description of the chiropractors and
clinics comprising the VHA chiropractic program. Because the
chiropractic program is a new clinical service for VHA, many questions
exist as to the quality, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of
chiropractic care for patients of VHA. This article provides a
preliminary understanding of the introduction of this new service to
VHA, and these results can provide a context for follow-up studies that
will ultimately assess quality of care.
